John originally qualified as a barrister, and is now a solicitor-advocate with rights to appear in the Higher Civil Law courts. John heads the practice after twelve years in the law and has been involved in such high profile miscarriage of justice cases such as that of Stephen Downing. He is a highly experienced tribunal advocate. John now specialises in the areas of employment, immigration, and prison law as it affects life sentenced prisoners.
John has appeared on numerous radio and television programmes, and is frequently asked to comment on current legal issues by the BBC and other broadcasters locally and nationally.
Coming to the law later in life, John has qualifications and experience in psychology, teaching, management training and administration. He has been a full member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. John has also written extensively on aspects of the law, in addition to lecturing in the subject to post-graduate level professionals. |
