Joining Family in the UK

The Home Office take its responsibility seriously regarding family unity.  Getting married, sponsoring dependant children or undertaking a civil partnership ceremony - all are important steps in maintaining a private/family life.  Advice is invaluable in choosing the best application to secure permission for family members to enter/remain in the UK.  Often there are several different types of possible applications which can be confusing for those unfamiliar with Home Office criteria.  The Home Office is not always clear about the additional documentation required.  Careful attention is needed especially for dependant children between 16 to 18 years of age.

The risk of receiving a Home Office refusal cannot be emphasised enough as subsequent applications will be seriously affected by an applicant’s negative immigration history- the Home Office do keep records of past failed attempts. Save time and money by getting correct specialist advice from the very outset.
