Visiting the UK

The Home Office allows regular visitors up to six months leave to remain in the UK.  Much depends on the nationality of the applicant and whether the visit is for family reasons or purely to sightsee.  Visitors with business or medical purposes will have to meet additional criteria.  In conjunction with the introduction of the Points Based System, the Home Office has also extended its changes to visitor visas, in particular it will be introducing a formalised sponsorship requirement for family visitors.  For further updates on visitor criteria it is advisable to seek specialist’s advice.
